…And… How much does this rock? Last night I attempted to start both of the sleeves for that pink shrug AGAIN (4th time? something) using the ‘Magic Loop’ method. Bwah ha ha ha ha! Should more appropriately be called the “Voodoo Possessed Zombie Attack Needle” method. Holy schmoley, batman. Knots. Needles everywhere. I narrowly avoided having one go right up my nose into my brain. Seriously.
But I tried again this morning, and it worked! It’s amazing. So I’ve got one loooooong circular needle with both sleeves being knit in the round on it at the same time. I’ll see if I can’t get pictures of the mess up so y’all can see it. It’s kewl, I tell you what.

Months and months and months ago I started the Perfect Pie Shawl in Weekend Knits, and wound up throwing it across the room in frustration. And then trying to tear it out, only to discover that tearing out anything made with that particular mohair is nigh unto impossible.
Well, a wild hair struck me night before last, and I picked up that pattern again with a different mohair (Rowan Kid Classic, which kicks all available ass), and it’s going sooooo smoothly now. Other than the fact that every row is the same and I have to totally pay attention to what I’m working on. I should be completely finished with the body by the end of the weekend, then I just have to do the super-teensy-needle lace edging, and I’ll be able to take it to the opera on the 23rd of May. Schweet!
