Word to the wise: You *know* you’ve been watching WAY too much Buffy when you go to the opera*, and half way through the first act you actually think to yourself “Ok, so the vamps are going to come out of that corridor over there, and Buffy will (obviously) come in through that window on the left. Cool. This’ll be good.”
Oh… Wait. No. At least it was a (very) comic opera (oh, excuse me, operetta thankyouverymuch), so my giggle fit at my blondness was totally disguised by the general audience laughter around me. Otherwise I would have had to blame the champagne. Which I hadn’t gotten into yet. But it was coming. Oh yes. Yes it was.
And no. No progress on Rogue. I managed to get the shoulder seams sewn, and got the stitches for the hood picked up, but that does not, in my book, really qualify as ‘progress’.
And on a COMPLETELY different note… My OCD? I have TOTALLY found a project to funnel that at. OMFG. Check it out. 133,110 stitches. Done on 32 count linen it would be… what, 8 1/2″ X 15 1/2″. 130some-odd colors, 133,110 stitches, and roughly the size of a legal size piece of paper. I got your OCD projects right here, baby! Or maybe this one, or this one. Discuss.
*In general I am NOT a fan of opera in English, and there are few things in life that make me itch like musicals. So this being an operetta in English did not bode well for it, but it really was fun, and Jane Eaglen totally rocks my world, even though someone I know says she’s losing her edge. The day Jane can no longer make me cry with that first note I’ll admit she’s losing her edge, but until then, STFU.
