We had to take the monster truck in for service this morning, and on the way across the Narrows Bridge, I FINALLY saw some work actually taking place on the new bridge. I drive across the bridge fairly often, but I’ve never actually seen any work happening on it, it just kept changing little by little, but this morning I actually saw the spinners going. It was all kinds of cool. It’s like that goofy railroad bridge in Ballard that is always open (it’s right next to where the Ballard locks let out, so it is always open so the boats can get by) - I think I’ve seen that thing go down twice in my lifetime. I know it happens every day, but I just never see it.
Want to know wtf I’m talking about? Go look here for the bridge project (pictures! lots of pictures! and cool info on how they actually build a suspension bridge) and here for the locks (And omfg. Nobody should ever let the army corps of engineers build a website. Canals yes, websites no).

Thanks for posting the link to the website of the bridge project - it’s going to be an amazing thing as it seems! Now I’m curious how long it will actually take them to finish it - perhaps sooner than expected? I’m suzre you’ll keep us of to date, won’t you?
